Thank you all for attending the 2005 conference, the biggest CUMC/CCÉM to date! With roughly 150 participants, the conference was an amazing success. Congratulations to McGill University/Université McGill on their successful bid, as they get ready to host CUMC/CCÉM 2006! Stay tuned during the 2005-2006 school year as info on their conference is made available.

Welcome to the website for the 2005 Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference! The conference will be held July 13th to 17th at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Started in McGill in 1994, this is the first time it has been hosted by Queen's University.
The conference is open to all undergraduate students with an interest in any aspect of mathematics or related field, including statistics, finance, biomath, economics, computer science, physics, applied math, philosophy of math.... It provides a wonderful opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and share research with other undergraduates from across the country. Participants are encouraged -- but not required -- to give a brief talk on a topic related to mathematics that would be of interest to their peers.
We encourage mathematics student unions and clubs to download a copy of our poster.
Bids! Want to host the CUMC next year? Start thinking about preparing your bid! Talk to your department
head about the possibility, and feel free to contact us should you have any questions. Bids will be presented at
the CUMC this summer, and will be voted on at the end of the conference. Although we strongly encourage schools
in western Canada to bid, all schools are welcome to do so.
Please contact us should you have any questions.
We look forward to seeing you all in Kingston this summer!
